Dear visitors! You are all warmly welcomed to walk in Mårbacka’s beautiful garden and in our surroundings, which is open all year round!
In May, beginning om June and September we are open Saturdays and Sundays at 12 to 16.
We are daily open 17th of June until 29th of August.

Welcome to Selma Lagerlöf’s home, be fascinated by the story of her writing and life. Visit the beautiful memorial estate, designed by one of the greatest architects of the time. Let you be guided around the beautiful home, captivated by Selma Lagerlöf’s creativity, storytelling and her sense of taste and décor.
All year round, Mårbacka garden is a peaceful room for tranquility, reflection and imagination. Fruit trees, flowers, kitchen plants and plantings are a unique beauty experience. Gradually, the garden is recreated to look like it was in Selma Lagerlöf’s days.

During your visit enjoy with a lunch or a cup of coffee with homemade cakes from Mårbacka Café or go to Mårbacka Shop, which has Selma Lagerlöf’s classic stories as well as the latest books about her writing and life.
